This feature starring Leonardo De Caprio and Kate Winslet takes place in 1952 with flashbacks to the early 1930's. One of the sets I decorated was the apartment of Maureen, a secretary with whom Frank (the main character) had a brief affair. We strove to imbue the place with a feeling of naivety and girlishness. The other set pictured is the home of the realtor Mrs. Givings, played by Kathy Bates. The home was typical of reproduced Early American decor that was so popular in the 1950s.
