This is the story of Notorious B.I.G., aka Christopher Wallace, from his early youth to his rise as a rap star to his violent mysterious death in 1997.
Our challenge was to capture his circumstances as they were in the 1980's and 1990's. His modest childhood home, the gritty streets of Brooklyn, recording studios, concert halls, record label offices in Manhattan, and a large wealthy suburban house were created to reflect the arc of his life.
